Covid taught us that we have to be prepared for everything. Despite the fact that Hungary’s vaccination statistics are appropriate, and therefore we are optimistic that we will have the chance to meet you in person at JunctionX Budapest, we are preparing for the worst case scenario as well. That is why in this section we summarize some important information about what would happen in case new restrictions were introduced in Hungary, making it impossible for us to organize the hackathon’s in-person edition.

What is going to happen in case the Covid situation gets worse in Hungary during the autumn?

Thanks to our hybrid form we could be flexible if this situation occurred. In case the Hungarian restrictions won’t let us organize JunctionX Budapest in person, or we deem it too high of a risk to have an in-person event, the whole hackathon is going to be held online.

What kind of regulations will be used at the venue?

First of all, the health of our participants and partners are the most important to us so we will pay special attention to hygiene by providing hand sanitizers, masks if necessary and by cleaning the venue regularly.

On the other hand, we will also follow the Hungarian legal regulations regarding the offline events and the rules of our venue partner, EPAM. Currently, entering and staying in the EPAM office is only possible with a proof of vaccination or continuous mask use. Nevertheless, we are constantly following the government’s instructions and will inform the offline participants in time about how they can enter the venue at the hackathon.

Please note that we will do the best to provide an unforgettable experience to our participants, but we also need to follow the Hungarian laws regarding this scene. So please be patient and do not forget to make inquiries about the current Covid situation.

What is going to happen if I purchase an in-person conference ticket but the event will be held online because of Covid?

In this situation all of those who registered for offline participation will automatically be able to attend the hackathon online. We will use several platforms so all the needed information will be available through them!

Organizing an event is extremely challenging under these uncertain circumstances. We hope you understand the reasons behind our decisions. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
